15% of global food ‘lost’ before leaving farms

A brand new report on Wednesday by the British department of NGO WWF and UK grocery store large Tesco, exhibits that 1.2bn tonnes (over 15 p.c) of food produced globally is misplaced throughout harvest or slaughter procedures. The analysis states that 58 p.c of farm-related food waste takes place in middle- and high-income areas. WWF is looking on Brussels to handle food waste by EU insurance policies.
