California Wildfires: Lake Tahoe surrounded by thick, apocalyptic layer of smoke as highway closes, resorts shut down

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. (KGO) — Air high quality within the Lake Tahoe space is now at hazardous ranges as firefighters battle the close by Caldor Fireplace which had grown to greater than 117,000 acres, as of Tuesday morning.
