Caldor Fire: Firefighters show what battling giant flames looks like from the trenches

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. (KGO) — With inside views from Meyers to Christmas Valley to Echo Summit, Caldor Hearth firefighters on the frontlines are exhibiting us precisely what they’re up in opposition to.

With flames burning simply toes away from the crews, and a Meyers, Calif. house, one firefighter explains how they’ve dug a trench to offer a break. It is their “best shot,” he says, at defending homes proper on the different aspect of that trench.
