Stage 2 load shedding hits on Saturday night – with a week of load shedding likely ahead

Energy utility Eskom has introduced that it’ll implement stage 2 load shedding Saturday night, following the loss of producing capability on its community.

Load shedding will hit from 17h00 till 22h00.

Load shedding has been applied between 17h00 and 22h00 on daily basis this week, with losses on the grid going as excessive as 16,000MW resulting from breakdowns. Whereas producing capability was slowly returning to operation on Friday, it was not sufficient to keep away from load shedding solely.
